# Pause Deep-Sea Mining

> A coalition of 70+ companies and financial institutions calling for a precautionary pause on deep-sea mining until environmental risks are understood and credible alternatives exist.

The Coalition unites businesses across sectors and geographies in support of a precautionary pause — often referred to as a moratorium — on deep-sea mining in international waters. It is convened by WWF and provides research, the official business statement, and a route for companies to endorse.
